    Chair, Women Empowerment & Leadership Alliance (WomenELA)

    Dr. Fang Miao serves as the Chair of the Women Empowerment & Leadership Alliance (WomenELA), providing academic leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s mission of advancing inclusive leadership, justice, and meaningful participation across societies.

    A Scholar and Educator with a doctoral-level academic background, Dr. Miao brings a research-informed and interdisciplinary perspective to WomenELA’s work. Her areas of scholarly focus include women’s leadership development, psychosocial resilience, self-efficacy, and transformative learning, with particular attention to how individual capacity-building contributes to sustainable institutional and social impact.

    Dr. Miao’s professional experience also includes her work as a Life Coach, where she applies evidence-based and education-informed approaches that emphasize self-awareness, values alignment, and long-term agency. This background informs WomenELA’s leadership development initiatives, ensuring that programs remain both intellectually grounded and practically relevant.

    As Chair, Dr. Miao provides institutional oversight, academic guidance, and programmatic coherence, supporting cross-sector collaboration and aligning WomenELA’s initiatives with international frameworks for social development, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

    Through sustained engagement with civil society, academic partners, and policy-oriented platforms, Dr. Miao contributes to ongoing global dialogue on leadership, justice, and inclusive futures.
